Web design can feel mysterious if you do not live in it every day, so here are the questions we get asked most often about pricing, payments, packages, SEO, and the way we build websites.
Yes. Monthly websites have a 12-month minimum. After that, the plan rolls month-to-month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. If you cancel after the minimum term, you keep your domain and content, but the website code stays part of the subscription.
No problem. You can restart by signing a new 12-month agreement and we will get everything live again for you.
The 12-month minimum still applies. If you cancel early, the remaining balance up to month 12 is due. This protects us from people taking a full build for just a couple of payments.
Payments are by Direct Debit, so there is usually no issue. If a payment fails, we will retry and contact you. Continued non-payment may result in suspension and the remaining minimum term becoming payable.
We set you up on Direct Debit so payments come out automatically each month — no invoices to chase and no card fees.
One-time. If you need 3 extra pages, that is £225 total — not monthly. Custom features beyond extra standard pages are quoted separately before any work starts.
Lump-sum projects are paid 50% upfront before development begins and 50% on completion before the site goes live. Payment is by bank transfer from an invoice.
If we cannot get you a design you are happy with, we will refund what you have paid to get started. Once development begins, refunds are not automatic and are handled at our discretion. Extra work outside the agreed scope is billed separately.
Yes. Subscriptions continue monthly after the minimum term so we can keep hosting, maintaining, and updating your site for you. After month 12 you are no longer locked in, but the service keeps running until you cancel.
No. There is no buy-out option on the monthly website package. The monthly plan is designed to make a professional custom-coded website affordable without a large upfront cost, but that only works as a long-term service. If you want to own the site outright from day one, the lump-sum package is the right option.
Yes. Unlimited edits and ongoing support can be added to a lump-sum build from £40/month for Starter or £55/month for Growth, with a 12-month minimum paid by Direct Debit.
Monthly spreads the cost and includes hosting, maintenance, and ongoing edits. Lump-sum costs more upfront and is usually cheaper over the long term, but ongoing updates and support are not included by default.
Every website includes solid on-page SEO basics: clean structure, fast load speeds, page titles, meta descriptions, image optimisation, and a proper technical setup. Wider SEO work is a separate service, with website client retainers starting from £300/month.
Not on the standard monthly website packages. E-commerce usually needs more planning, integrations, testing, and support, so it is quoted separately.
SEO retainers start from £300/month for active website clients. Broader content and on-page SEO packages start from £550/month. We will scope the work and agree the plan with you before we begin.
Yes, good SEO works, especially when the website has a strong technical foundation and the content matches what customers are searching for. It is not instant, but you should see steady gains in visibility, traffic, calls, and enquiries.
Be careful of anyone who guarantees that. Timelines depend on competition and current authority. Some sites see movement in ~3 months; competitive areas can take 6–12 months. We will tell you what is realistic up front.
Technical fixes, on-page optimisation, keyword research, service pages, content creation, Google Business Profile support, citations where useful, and tracking for rankings, traffic, and leads so you can see what is working.
Yes. We can audit your site, Google Business Profile, and citations to identify issues and prioritise quick wins. It’s the first step before any ongoing campaign.
Expect meaningful results in 3–6 months for lighter competition and 6–12 months in tougher areas. SEO is an investment — the payoff is predictable, organic leads without paying per click.
Most sites go live in around 2–4 weeks once we have your content and photos. Timings depend on page count and how quickly we get approvals from you.
No. With the monthly plan, the website is part of the ongoing subscription and is not transferred if you cancel. You keep your domain, written content, images, and branding. If you want to own the website itself, choose the lump-sum option.
